  • Elected the 29th Vice Preisdent in 1920 and succeeded to President upon the death of W.G. Hardding in 1923

  • married to Grace Coolidge and had two children, both boys: John and Calvin Coolidge

    • The Republican delegates chose Charles Dawes of Illinois to run with him as the vice presidential candidate.
    • John Davis- Demoncratic canidate
    • Robert LaFollette - Progressive party canidate
    • Coolidge won the electoral votes of thirty-five states to just twelve for Davis of the Democrats. LaFollette won only Wisconsin, his home state. Coolidge also won more popular votes than the other two candidates together
    • wasnt fully in the election because his younger son Calvin had died during the campaign and it had taken a toll on his Presidential campaign himself
